The guns in the background pay homage to the Colt. If you're familiar with Supernatural, then you already get the reference. If not, the Colt is a gun with the power to kill demons, and Azazel spends a great deal of time in the series fighting to obtain it so he can open the Devil's Gate (a door to Hell) to unleash his demon army upon the Earth.
