See what happens when I don't have any school, exams, and/or homework?! That's right, you see art!!!
To be perfectly honest, a few days ago during one of my spares I started doodling, and somehow ended up with what I knew just had to be Ginny's face. So when I get home today after writing my Biology 30 diploma (super freakin' easy, by the way), I finally got the chance to sit done and draw what I've been wanting to draw for WEEKS. Yep, my remaining MHOCs. Because I had her face done, I've started with Ginny. I'm hoping to crank out at least one or two more before the night's end. Who, I can't say. That'd ruin the surprise.
Anyways, I'm really excited over how Ginny turned out! I fumbled around with her outfit again, but finally got to something I was happy with. I always like to try and find a balance in my MHOCs clothing - between being way too-over-the-top in terms of the monster and not close-enough-to-realistic-clothing. Originally Ginny was full-out Princess Jasmine-esque from Aladdin. Then my sister laughed at the design and said "Uh, no. I don't like Monster High or your obsession with it and dolls in general, but at least find a way to give 'gypsy/genie' a modern flair." So then I switched it up and she ended up having a more "gypsy" top with denim jeans. But while drawing her tonight I didn't like the jeans. Ginny's something of a self-proclaimed "slut," very promiscuous and not afraid to grind up on any manster she sees. What kind of girl like that would wear jeans and cover up her uh-maz-ing legs?!?!?! Exactly, she wouldn't. So I gave Ginny some sexy jean shorts and fishnets instead. The only part of her clothing design that's never changed a single bit are her shoes. God, MH loves their shoes...and I love Ginny's! Simple, yes, but still badass.
I'm also quite overjoyed over how her hair turned out. And although some bits are shaded here in the sketch, it's only so I remember which parts are a slightly darker/lighter shade of her hair color.
And in case you overlooked it or didn't and are just morbidly curious, YES, her earrings are indeed lamps.
Well, that's pretty much it. Colored version coming soon, along with more MHOC sketches! Keep watching, there's good stuff on it's way, I promise!!!
