Monster High OC: Irys Klops

Holy crap, this took a long time...but I'd say it was worth it, no?

I present (drum roll, please) to everyone: Irys Klops!



Anyways, here she is 100% done. I am SOOOO happy with how she turned out. Honestly, I think she's perfect...and if she were an actual doll, I would buy her in a heartbeat!

My favorite part is definitely her head. Her hair took forever, since I kept debating over color and how to do the highlights, but I think it all came together perfectly.

I'm also happy with the color for her skin. I was originally going to do a kind of orange-yellow, but I always color skin last, and when I looked at the colors of her clothes, the yellow skin would have clashed terribly with the creme toga, gold sandals, etc. A different shade of green would've been too much green for one picture, and I didn't want to do a "normal" human skin tone. So I went with a grey-blue, and I think it fits nicely.

That friggin plaid shirt...oh god, what an episode that was. I found the pattern on Google, and then had a million debates over how to get it in the drawing. I honestly spent like, 2 HOURS just on getting that plaid in there. I was going to give up, but I FINALLY found a way, so hallelujiah! since it adds a nice dimension to the drawing overall.

So, I hope everyone likes it as much as I do! This makes me wish Mattel would make an actual Cyclops doll more than ever!!!
